GENERAL RULES

Participation in Events

1.     Members who are participants in, or are associates of participants in, certain events ("Events"), are likely to be subject to the rules, regulations, codes, agreements and/or guidelines made by the sporting body or racing industry that administers those Events ("the Rules").

2.     If a member is subject to the Rules, it may only place wagers in accordance with those Rules. If those Rules preclude the member from betting on the events or any aspects of the Events, the member agrees that it will not bet on those Events or aspects of those Events (as applicable).

3.     The member acknowledges and agrees that Palmerbet will provide information to sporting bodies, racing industries and government authorities authorised to issue licences for the conduct of betting services and/or responsible for supervising the betting operations of Palmerbet ("Authorities"), in respect of persons:

4.     who are precluded by the Rules from betting on any Events or aspects of any Events;

5.     whom Palmerbet or any authority has reasonable grounds to suspect is connected to a member where Palmerbet or the Authority has reasonable grounds to suspect that that person or the member is in breach of, the rules;

6.     whom Palmerbet or any Authority has reasonable grounds to suspect have engaged in conduct prejudicial to the interests of Palmerbet or the Authority and who may have relevant knowledge concerning corruption within the relevant sport; and

7.     whom Palmerbet or an Authority believe have made unusual or suspicious bets or have unusual or suspicious betting trends or movements or other information which lead it to query the integrity of any of the Events, or a person subject to the Rules.

Start Time

1. All dates and times published by Palmerbet are indicative only. Wagers will be accepted by Palmerbet up to:

(a)   the official start time of the event; or

(b)   A time as decided by Palmerbet.

2. If a wager is inadvertently accepted after the official event start time, the wager will be deemed invalid and the member refunded the full amount of the wager.

Reliance on Official Podium Positions

1.     Unless agreed otherwise by Palmerbet and customer at the time of making the sports bet, all sports bets will be settled on the official or podium positions as per the adjudication of the relevant recognised governing body. Subsequent disqualification, promotion of competitors, or any other amendment to the results will be ignored for settlement purposes.

Results

1.     Where an event or match is postponed and rearranged to take place within 48 hours of the original scheduled starting time of the event or match, all wagers will stand. If the event or match is rescheduled for a time greater than 48 hours after the original scheduled starting time, all wagers will be void and stakes refunded.

2.     In the case of all sports (except soccer) and all other contests that involve a set length of play or time limit, players must play and the event must run to the conclusion of the designated time to be considered official for betting purposes.

3.     In the event of a Dead-Heat or draw, where such an option was not offered for betting purposes, the ticket will be paid out at face value divided by the number of Dead-Heating winners of the event ("Dead Heat Rule")

4.     For Multiple wagers "multis", if any leg/legs are void, the multiple wager will be recalculated excluding the voided leg/legs.

Multi-Bets

1.     Multi-bets are not accepted where the outcome of one part of the bet contributes to the outcome of another, also known as competitor dependancy. If such bets are inadvertently accepted, Palmerbet reserves the right to void such bets.

2.    There is a maximum of 10 legs in a multibet.

3.    There is a maximum dividend of $2001.

RACING RULES

1.     A maximum dividend of $101 applies to all thoroughbred racing whilst a $51 maximum applies to all harness and greyhound racing dividends.

2.     Palmerbet will cap the place dividend for all racing (thoroughbred, harness and greyhounds) to not exceed the win dividend for any selection.

3.     A reference to the "Field Size Rule" means that place dividends are payable as follows:

(a)   Where there are 8 or more runners in a race, a dividend shall be paid on 1st, 2nd and 3rd places.

(b)   Where there are 5, 6 or 7 runners, the dividend shall be paid on 1st and 2nd places only.

4.     Where a race meeting is transferred from one racecourse to another, all betting rules will apply as if the meeting was not transferred.

5.     When betting Each-Way, the place portion of the wager must be equal to or less than the win portion of the wager.

6.     If a race meeting is postponed, all wagers on the postponed meeting are cancelled.

7.     In the event of a horse being withdrawn late by order of the stewards, all wagers will be paid as stewards direct including deductions on remaining runners. Click here for the Palmerbet Schedule of Deductions.

8.     Palmerbet reserves the right to reject or partially reject wagers placed through its Best Tote product or offer alternative products such as Middle Tote (Median of Tatts, SuperTAB and Unitab) to select members. By placing a wager with Palmerbet you have accepted the terms and conditions as stated by Palmerbet.

9.     On any bet type in any location, the payout will not exceed the pool amount for that bet type at the nominated Tote. If the nominated Tote doesn’t offer the selected bet type or there is no nominated Tote, the Victorian Tote declared pool and dividend will apply, subject to our maximum betting payouts. If there is no Victorian Tote pool then the NSW Tote declared pool size will apply, subject to our maximum betting payouts. Where the player’s stake is larger than the pool size, the player will receive their stake back rather than the pool. If there is no VIC or NSW Tote pools then the stake will be refunded.

10.    Palmerbet reserves the right to, without prior agreement, limit the maximum payout to any one account holder (or group deemed by Palmerbet to be acting on behalf of any account holder) on any one race, shall be limited to:

$200,000 AUD for metropolitan Gallops meetings
$100,000 AUD for non-metropolitan Gallops meeting
$50,000 AUD for Greyhound or Harness meetings.

In addition to the above limits, defined payout limits apply to payouts on Exotic bets (defined as Quinella, Trifecta, Exacta, First Four and Quaddrella) on any one race.

11. Palmerbet reserves the right to void any or all wagers made by any individual or group of people acting together (or on behalf of another individual or group of people)  in an attempt to gain financial benefit through the manipulation of tote based dividends or official starting prices, as determined by Palmerbet in its absolute discretion. This can include persons, relatives, organisations, bookmakers and their employees.
