How do I open a Palmerbet account?

The quickest and easiest way is online, but alternatively, you can call our friendly team on 1300 12 HELP (1300 124 357) to open an account over the phone. Overseas clients may call +61 2 8073 5352. Once your UserID has been generated the next step is to deposit funds, then you are ready to place your first bet.

How do I deposit funds into my Palmerbet account?

Funds must be deposited to your Palmerbet account before you can place a bet. There are several methods of payment.

Credit Card - To pay by credit card click the Account button on the menu bar then click on the Credit card left hand side menu under Deposit. Once you have made a credit card deposit there is no need to re-enter your card details for future deposits unless your card expires. If you use more than one card to deposit, all your cards will appear in a drop list on the deposit page and you simply need to choose which card you wish to use. We do not charge any credit card fees.

Cheques - We accept funds paid electronically only. Please do not send cheques, money orders or overseas drafts.

Funds Transfer - You can pay by EFT (electronic funds transfer). You will need to do this by using your banks website. After depositing please go to the Deposit options - Bank transfer section in the banking options and notify us of your deposit. Please do not deposit funds over the counter at your bank.

BPay - We now have BPay facilities. Our biller code is 100982.  You will find your unique reference number in the my account section under "deposit funds"

Cash - We do not accept cash payments.

How do I place a wager?

You can place wagers on sports & racing via the telephone & Internet. It's as simple as logging into your Palmerbet account or telephoning 1300 123 BET (1300 123 238). When placing wagers over the phone or online, you'll need your User ID and password. So make sure you keep these details secure at all times.

What is the minimum amount I can deposit?

This will depend on your deposit method. Minimum amounts are as follows:

  • Credit Card - $10
  • Poli - $10
  • BPay - $25
  • EFT/Bank deposit - please check with your bank

What is the minimum amount I can wager?

The minimum bet over the Internet is $1.

The minimum phone bet is $10.

What betting products does Palmerbet offer on racing?

Can I change my password, credit card or personal details?

For changes to any personal details, including your password, you must sign in to your Palmerbet account and then click on "My Account" in the menu bar. Any changes are recorded by Palmerbet prior to acceptance. Any changes to credit card details can be completed by clicking on "My Account", then the "Credit Card" item under Deposits Funds section.

How do I make a withdrawal from my Palmerbet account?

Members can withdraw funds from their Palmerbet account into their nominated bank account. In order for us to process your withdrawal request you must first satisfy our identification requirements. Please refer to the Banking section of our website for further information.

Does Palmerbet require me to provide identification?

In accordance with NSW licensing regulations, all members must have their identification verified. To verify your identity follow the steps outlined under 'My Account' once logged in. Members can use items such as a passport, licence, Medicare card, Tax File Number and so on until 100% is reached on the green status bar. 

If members are unable to successfully verify their identity via the above method (online), the member must send in primary certified identification (photo ID) with address confirmation within 30days of opening their account or prior to any withdrawals being requested against their account. In line with government regulation, failure to meet these requirements will result in the member's account being suspended until providing such documentation.

I have completed my ID requirements but I cannot withdraw my money

This generally means you are yet to register your credit/debit cards. Under legislation, Palmerbet requires you to send in a clear front and back copy of all cards you have deposited with to us.

Palmerbets betting service operate online and over the phone 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, while Customer Service operates 8am to 6pm everyday.

Are my personal details secure when using Palmerbet?

Palmerbet uses 128-bit encryption to ensure secure on-line transactions. Palmerbet will not on sell personal details to third parties.

Where are Palmerbet licensed and located?

Palmerbet is licensed by Racing NSW and operate out of Canterbury Racecourse in Sydney, NSW. Palmerbet also operate oncourse on all Sydney Metropolitan races located on the Rails.

What happens if I back a horse and it's scratched?

If you've backed it for a win, place or each way prior to acceptance time, your bet is lost. If the bet was placed after final acceptance time your bet will be refunded but deductions may be applied to remaining live bets.

What is line betting?

A method used by bookmakers to make a one sided event become a more attractive betting proposition, also known as a handicap. Each team has points or runs added or subtracted from their score, to determine if the bet is a winner. Line bets are offered on our sports betting products including AFL, NRL, Rugby Union, Soccer, Netball, Ice Hockey, Baseball, Basketball, NFL and other selected sports.

What is a multi-bet?

A multi-bet contains a minimum of two legs (selections) and the respective odds of each leg are multiplied to calculate the combined payout. Multi-bets can be placed within or across various sports and are a great way to boost your returns.

How do I place a multi-bet?

Simply click on the price of your first selection, and then navigate the menu to choose an additional event and again click on the price. A bet slip will appear with a dividend based on the two prices multiplied. You can click on further selections to further boost your return.

The next step is to enter the stake you wish to wager on your Multi-Bet and press 'Confirm Bet' to place the bet.

When are multi-bets not available?

Multi-Bets are not accepted where the outcome of one part of the bet contributes to the outcome of another, also known as competitor dependency. If such bets are in advertently accepted, Palmerbet reserves the right to void such bets.
